180 Degree Elbow
The main function of a Carbon Steel 180 degree elbow is to change the direction of the flow of media at an angle of 180°. Generally, the material used to make these elbows need to have good formability and ductile properties that make forging operations easier. Aside from having the aforementioned properties, a 180 Degree Elbow is a good conductor of heat and electricity and it has superior corrosion resistance to water. Hence, marine engineering is one of the industries that use copper elbows to a broader limit.
Whereas different stainless steel grades offer different properties. For instance grade 304 is a cost effective and popular alloy grade, Stainless Steel 180 degree pipe elbow produced from grades 310, 347 and 321 tend to be heat resistant steels.
