The Alvium G5 camera series by Allied Vision Technologies represents a significant step up in the realm of 5GigE Vision cameras. This compact, sugar cube-sized camera offers a substantial increase in data transmission capability with its 5GigE interface, providing 4.2 times the bandwidth in comparison to traditional GigE solutions. It supports variable link speeds ranging from 1G, 2.5G to 5G, thanks to the NBASE-T technology, allowing for flexible integration into existing systems. The camera is designed for industrial applications, featuring a rugged compact housing and high-performance Sony IMX sensors. It ensures top-notch image quality with energy efficiency, powered by ALVIUM Technology which incorporates an Image Signal Processor (ISP) and an Image Processing Library (IPL). Additionally, the unified software experience across all Alvium-based cameras enhances usability. The Vimba X SDK further facilitates seamless camera integration, offering support across multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS.The Alvium G5 camera series combines the advantages of the 5GigE interface for higher bandwidth and the flexibility of the Alvium platform offering various mount and sensor options. It enables an easy upgrade of existing systems (USB3 Vision or GigE Vision) and offers backwards compatibility with 1000BASE-T solutions. Powered by ALVIUM® Technology, the sugar cube Alvium G5 camera delivers highest image quality at a low power consumption.
