Britannia manufacture complete AC Drilling packages based on ABB`s digital drive and control technologies.  The breakthrough for AC drilling drives came in 1994 when Shell/Statoil installed ABB and the world`s first AC Drilling Drive at the Troll A Platform in the North Sea. This installation quickly revealed the advantages of AC drilling drives, and set a standard for the future.
