Grease Thief - Adjustable T-Handle for Grease Sampler

The Adjustable T-Handle, when used in conjunction with the Grease Thief sampler, is designed to enter through a drain plug or access port to core a grease sample from a bearing, gearbox, or other grease lubricated component. The device is locked to a set depth and inserted into the component housing, pushing through the bulk, non-representative grease, and actuated at the set depth to core a sample. This ensures the sample is representative of the equipment condition. Once the core depth has been set, the tool can be used to repeatably take the sample from a controlled sample depth, bypassing the non-representative grease sitting in the housing. After it is withdrawn from the gearbox or bearing, the Grease Thief is unscrewed from the T-handle, capped, and placed in a clean, labeled sample bottle for shipment to the laboratory. The T-handle can be wiped clean and re-used for subsequent samples.
