AFT Cutter Compacter
The capacity can vary according to the type and the characteristics of the material which is to be processed: percentage of contamination, bulk density, moisture, viscosity, etc.
The main features of this kind of feeder are its rotating blades and counterblades, which allow the operator not to grind the material before loading the system. It is even possible to equip the conveyor belt with a pre-shredder to cut some special materials avoiding waste of time to make the material to be processed ready. This CUTTER COMPACTOR can also solve the problem of humidity. The materials to be processed are usually arranged outdoors so that the products contain a high percentage of humidity and gas which can remain in the granules. It works as a densifier, heating the material by friction and avoiding the agglomeration. This lets the product temperature to increase while the humidity and the gas impurities decrease. Other important characteristic is the feeding system, which is not done directly by the CUTTER COMPACTOR but by means of a special feeding screw; this allow the operator to have a constant load. The screw is controlled by a special PLC system, which grant`s a continuous check of all the parameters. Adding this CUTTER COMPACTOR to the main reclaiming line means an higher quality of the recycled materials.
- Designed for an existing extruder.
- Depending on the height axis and feed throat design we can retrofit to add the benefits of our COMPAC and Force Feed technology.
- Increases throughput on standard ram stuffer feed, gravity and conical crammers.
- Accepts up to 10% residual moisture in the case of the Compac technology.
- Gives added benefits of dosing the material essentially compounding on a single screw line.
- Can feed roll stock without pre-sizing.
Not only is our feeding technology available to retrofit existing extruders and systems, but we can proffer the TANDEM solution as well with either the primary or secondary extruder to couple with an existing line. more>>
Tandem is another technology that we are developing to work in congress with either one of our superior feeding technologies, i.e. FORCE FEED and COMPAC. This technology works with two extruders in “tandem” to one another. Our system is used for materials with over 100% print coverage, solvent based inks and other volatiles.
