Afton - Model ILVS-B -Vertical In-Line Pumps
The New Maintenance Saving Bearing Bracket. The new Afton Bearing Bracket vertical in-line pumps are recommended for all in-plant petroleum and petrochemical process services with flow rates to 4,000 GPM and differential pressures to 750 feet.
The ILVS-B is an innovative pump with the proven hydraulic characteristics of the Afton ILV and ILVS.
Bearing Lubrication
The bearing lubrication is designed for OIL MIST,PURGE MIST or OIL SUMP lubrication. THE OIL MIST system is furnished with magnetic oil seals and includes an expansion chamber.
The OIL SUMP lubrication system is furnished with a single sump with labyrinth seals and a Trico eight (8) ounce constant level oiler. The bearing bracket, and the thrust bearing housing are machined for all lubrication options. The redial bearing end cover and the oiler are the only different parts required for the oil sump system. Bearings are standard with a B-10 life of 40,000 hours.
There are 21 pump sizes, plus 35 different impellers to select from.
The integral bearing housing is designed to handle the axial and radial thrust generated by the pump assembly. Pump and motor shaft alignment problems are minimized.
The ILVS-B has its own bearings, therefore, motor bearings are not affected by hydraulic loads and a standard flexible coupling may be used. This simplifies the costly alignment procedures of a standard in-line or horizontal.
