These samplers have a vertically split cylinder (Cup Set) that allows for easy extraction of soil cores that minimize the chance of disturbing the sample. It can be used without a liner to collect relatively undisturbed cores for immediate examination and testing, or with a liner to collect undisturbed samples to be prepared for laboratory analysis. The Cup Set interlocks and is held together by a Sampler Cap and Tip. The Cup Set, Cap, and Auger Tip are made of heavy-wall, 300-series stainless steel; the Core Tip is 400-series stainless steel. Additional Cup Sets and Couplers are available to collect longer samples.
