Aqua Clear - Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems
Reverse osmosis systems are the industry standard when it comes to purifying water from water sources such as lakes, rivers, wells and municipal tap water. A RO system uses high pressure pumps that force water against the surface of a semipermeable membrane which allows passage of only water molecules.
Reverse osmosis is an extremely selective membrane process that allows only very small molecules (<20 Daltons) to pass through to the permeate product side of the membrane. RO membranes are also highly efficient in impurity removal, rejecting up to 99.8% of dissolved ions and solids within a feed water source. These reverse osmosis membrane elements are safely stored inside of pressure vessels securely fastened to a frame with all plumbing and connections pre-plumbed at our manufacturing facility.
Based on the source of your feedwater (be it groundwater, surface water or tap water) with total dissolved solids ranging from 500 ppm to 15,000 ppm, Aqua Clear will run design projections and will either select one of our pre-engineered systems or custom design an RO membrane system that is optimal for your facility.

As a one stop shop, Aqua Clear’s water treatment specialists will engineer a pretreatment solution based on the client’s feedwater quality for long life protection of the RO booster pump and membranes. Pretreatment options include water softening, ultrafiltration, multimedia filtration, carbon filtration, dechlorination and antiscalant chemical dosing.
Also available are post-treatment options to further condition the RO permeate including UV disinfection and pH adjustment.
Aqua Clear’s membrane healthcare program includes our line of specially formulated reverse osmosis antiscalants, dechlorination agents and membrane cleaning solutions to extend the life of RO membranes. Client’s often integrate one of Aqua Clear’s clean-in-place (CIP) skids with their RO system as part of their predictive maintenance.
With an eye on “ONE WATER” solutions, Aqua Clear has many programs and capabilities to provide our clients with peace of mind. Aqua Clear’s water treatment specialists have the knowledge for onsite reuse of process wastewater using reverse osmosis combined with other technologies. Also, our specialists have experience with capturing the brine reject (concentrate) from RO systems and recycling it for onsite use in applications such as cooling towers.
