Aqua Color - Swimming Pool Water Quality Sensor
The Aqua Color Swimming Pool Sensor is a useful tool to monitor the swimming pool water quality and generates an alarm if the swimming pool water becomes turbid and if biofilm formation or algae growth occurs. The sensor measures light absorption of blue, green and red light. If the light absorption decreases at the same rate for all colors, turbid water and / or biofilm formation occurs. Preferential light absorption of the red and blue light is a sign of algae growth. Fresh and clean swimming pool water is not only hygienic but also gives an extra dimension to the appeal of the swimming pool and increases fun. Routine checkups of the swimming pool water quality and, if required, correcting the water quality, prevents you from having to spent a lot of time to cleaning of the swimming pool.
Properties of the Aqua Color Swimming Pool Sensor
- The sensor is mounted in the piping close to the outlet of the sand filter or the cartridge filter of the swimming pool. It is connected through PVC connectors for 50mm PVC piping.
- The Sensor is powered through a USB cable and a standard USB adaptor (5V @ 1A).
- The sensor communicates through wifi and through our app, it communicates the fouling degree of the water and algae growth in figures from 0 to 100.
- At an algae fouling degree of 50 or more, it is recommended to take action against algae growth.
- At a turbidity of 50 or more, it is recommended to take action against turbidity of the swimming pool water.
Aqua Color Swimming Pool Sensor with warning LED
For customers preferring to monitor the swimming pool water quality through a LED indication instead of using our cloud service or app, we developed the Aqua Color Swimming Pool Sensor with warning LED.
De Aqua Color Swimming Pool Sensor with warning LED works as follows:
- A green lighting LED indicates that the swimming pool water quality is good.
- If the LED lights blue and is blinking, some algae growth occurs and it is recommended to check the swimming pool water quality. A continuously blue lighting LED indicates that the swimming pool water is severely contaminated by algae growth.
- If the LED lights red and is blinking, the swimming pool water is becoming turbid and it is recommended to check the swimming pool filter and water quality. A continuously red lighting LED indicates that the swimming pool is severely contaminated with (small) particles.
- IF the LED alternately lights blue and green, most probably both algae growth and high turbidity of the swimming pool water occur and it is strongly recommended to check the swimming pool water quality.
