Clean drinking water is essential for optimal hygiene in poultry management. The Impex dirty water detection sensor continually monitors drinking water quality, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This patented light sensor measures the cloudiness of the drinking water as well as sediment in the drinking water line. With continual information on the drinking water quality, the drinking water system is flushed when required for the optimal supply of clean water.

The sensor platform is an extensive yet low cost system for local and remote data logging, data analysis and process automation. Any commercially available sensor or set of sensors can be plugged into the platform. The features of the platform, such as data processing and representation, can be tailor made.

The coaxsensor is an inline sensor for measuring (bio)fouling, corrosion or the load degree of ion exchange resin columns. The sensor continuously makes a fingerprint of its internal water volume providing detailed information about changes taking place in the fluid or on the internal sensor surface. This makes the sensor very feasible as early warning system. The features of the sensor, such as data processing and representation, can be tailor made.

The Aqua Color Swimming Pool Sensor is a useful tool to monitor the swimming pool water quality and generates an alarm if the swimming pool water becomes turbid and if biofilm formation or algae growth occurs. The sensor measures light absorption of blue, green and red light. If the light absorption decreases at the same rate for all colors, turbid water and / or biofilm formation occurs. Preferential light absorption of the red and blue light is a sign of algae growth. Fresh and clean swimming pool water is not only hygienic but also gives an extra dimension to the appeal of the swimming pool and increases fun. Routine checkups of the swimming pool water quality and, if required, correcting the water quality, prevents you from having to spent a lot of time to cleaning of the swimming pool.

At festivals and sport events, temporary water supplies are realized in order to fullfill the demand for clean drinking water. In order to safeguard the quality of the drinking water during these events, water samples are taken and analyzed on a regular basis. Developments in society have led to a large demand for simple methods to monitor drinking water quality real time and inline. In industry and drinking water production plants we often want to prevent biological biofilm formation on all kinds of surfaces that are in contact with water. Some examples are water piping, heat exchangers, water tanks, cooling towers and reactors.

In summer, it is a great sensation to take a fresh dive into natural swimming water and to relax at the border but this is not always safe. In surface water, blue algae are naturally present. In fact, blue algae are no algae but cyanobacteria. During summer, if het water is warm and if too many nutrients are present in the water, these bacteria can muliply so fast that they are dominantly present.
