AQUA|STILL - Lab Units

AQUA|STILL’s lab units can be used to test if a sample can be treated with AQUA|STILL’s DCMD process or even larger applications.

A first impression of MD with minimal effort and a maximum result

The lab unit is the first engineering step to design a membrane distillation process. With the lab units the following items can be determined on lab scale (amongst others);

• Investigate the membrane distillation process in general
• Investigate the membrane resistance against the sample medium (wetting; fouling, etc.)
• Investigate the distillate quality (long term experiments)
• Indication the fluxes depending on the brine concentration
• Investigate fouling behaviour
• Investigate prevention strategies against fouling
• Testing the full AQUA|FLEX principle
• Several other test applications

The lab unit is built from standardized modular aluminium building elements, which can be adapted easily to the required conditions and can be moved.
