The name Raven was taken from the founder’s favorite poem by Edger Allen Poe, The Raven, along with a play on words. The word corbel, which is used to describe the top section or cone of a manhole, is derived from an old French term which finds its roots in the Latin word for raven, corvus, due to the similarity of the shape of the brick to a Raven’s beak.

	Raven was founded and the first epoxy manhole application was completed. This epoxy later became known as the Raven 405, the company’s flagship product.
	Raven Certified Applicator program created to have contractor’s factory trained in both equipment usage and coating application.
	Raven ownership change (current owners).
	AquataPoxy, NSF/ANSI 61 certified products used in potable water applications, added to Raven product line.
	Raven introduces line of cements including Raven 705CA, calcium aluminate product and 755, Portland based product. Rob Pawlak became President of Raven Lining Systems.
	Raven introduces its Polyurethane/Polyurea product lines for wastewater and secondary containment applications. Raven also introduced AquataFlex 510, NSF / ANSI 61 certified for potable water applications.
