aquaTech - Potable Water Grade Dispersants
Dispersants can be applied to a variety of problems including reverse osmosis, cooling towersand boilerwater treatment. They are used, in general, in any system where water circulates such as in inlet water pipes to control bio-fouling, in heat exchangers. In combination with other chemicals, in particular the Amber coagulants, Disperse can be very effective as a corrosion inhibitor.
As far as we are aware, aquaTECH has the broadest line of dispersants on the market. Perhaps unique in our offerings is the willingness to customize both the molecular weight and the extent of neutralization for your needs. If you are not satisfied with a Diserse from Table 1 we shall custom manufacture one to satisfy the testing we carry out on your water (see below).
aquaTECH has been recognized internationally for the quality of its R&D as well as business development activities. This includes various awards from the Wall Street Journal Europe for its acrylamide-based polymers. These molecules are the base of several patents and are based on a very extensive experience in testing. aquaTECH will test your water and develop anti-scalant solutions for your specific needs.
We complement this with the ability to design and construct your membrane/water purification system as well any related storage and dosing equipment. Please contact our engineering team for more information.
Low molecular weight polyacrylamides are dispersants which adsorb on services preventing the formation of scale and reducing its hardness. These co-polymers can also be used to adjust and buffer the circulating water. They are certified for use in RO systems at concentrations as high as 13 ppm.
The Disperse line of anti-scalants is food grade and contains no animal products. They are of high purity and produce under sterile conditions. Disperse 1 is NSF certified. aquaTECH’s Disperse line is Summarized in Tables 1 and 2.

Available in 230 kg closed head HDPE drums or 1050 kg IBCs as well as bulk deliveries. Recommended materials of construction for storage include SS and fiberglass. Metal containers should be avoided.
The Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Coimbra in Portugal is evaluating the use of acrylamide-based polymers in the control of bio-fouling. Dr. Raquel Costa has presented her work at international conferences and has determined that the architecture of the polymer influences performance. aquaTECH is proud to have been able to supply Dr. Costa with some customized polymers for her studies.
