Snowflake - Flocculant Powder

SnowFlake anionics are available in a range of charges and molecular weights. SnowFlake R, S, T, U and X are standards in potable water treatment where the low viscosities function well and provide outlet turbidities as low as 0.02 NTU! SnowFlake is, as far as we are aware, the most pure flocculant available. Residual monomer levels are more than one order of magnitude below international norms and can be certified to less than 50 ppm.

aquaTech - Potable Water Grade Dispersants

Dispersants can be applied to a variety of problems including reverse osmosis, cooling towersand boilerwater treatment. They are used, in general, in any system where water circulates such as in inlet water pipes to control bio-fouling, in heat exchangers. In combination with other chemicals, in particular the Amber coagulants, Disperse can be very effective as a corrosion inhibitor.

Polymeric and Inorganic Coagulants

AQUA+TECH’s coagulant line includes aqueous solutions of polyamines and polyDADMACs, inorganics based on aluminum and iron, as well as blends.  All are supplied either in IBCs, drums or flexi-bags, which fill FCLs. Polyamines are available as transparent, amber-colored, liquids at 50% active material. They have a density of 1.14-1.18 kg/L and have a pH of 5-6 when diluted in deionized water. They can be applied as coagulants in filtration and FABS, as well as in sedimentation.  They are also used in decoloration in sugar clarification as well as for cotton dye solutions. They also have roles in de-emulsification and in latex coagulation. In paper making they are parts of sticky control, retention and wet-end charge modification. Amber 2001, 2002 and 2006 are Kosher certified as food additive.

AlpineFloc - Emulsion Technology

AlpineFlocs are concentrated inverse-emulsions. The polymer solids levels for cationics is increased to 50% via a vacuum distillation of the water. For the anionics (W1) the concentration is 34-38%. Products are easily pumpable as they have a viscosity below 500 mPas. They are food grade and applied in a variety of solid-liquid separations and where water recycling requires optimization. AlpineFloc often outperforms powdered flocculants on certain types of equipment such as gravity belt presses, and when the solids levels are moderate. They are produced from either mineral or vegetable grade products without any animal-derived materials.

SnowFlake - Flocculants Powder

The 11 series is a new range of cationic powdered flocculants from AQUA+TECH. It has been developed toprovide improved resistanceto shear forces. This is accomplished by a higher molecular weight, and hence solution viscosity. The 11 series has good solubilityand, therefore, can be used iri applications which require clean solutions such as inpaper making. Owing to theirhigh molecular weight, one can also apply a bit less charge compared to a standard flocculant. As the cost decreases with cationic charge, this should render the 11series both less expensive per kilogram of product and also per cubic meter of watertreated.

Boiler Chemicals

Corrosion is possible in anoxic solulions, though greally accelerates in the presence of oxygen. Acidity also increases Ihe rate of iron penetration to the metal surface. Indeed, corrosion of metals is very much like the functioning of a battery and protection relies on using stable products. For example, many common antt-scalants are based on acrylic acid. These decompose at temperatures below 240 °C. The loss of the hydroxy functionality generates gases whch can, as well, cause local pitting. Sulfonated dispersants are also often working at low pressures and temperatures. At high pressures, they can produce sulfite. While this is an oxygen scavenger, it also generates SO/` which can produce scale if divalent tons are present.
