The nylon membrane is made of polyamide 66. It is hydrophilic in nature with good chemical compatibility. It can filter all water-based liquids and most organic solutions such as alcohols, hydrocarbons, ethers, esters, ketones, etc. The nylon membrane is widely used for sample collection, pre-filtration, sample testing and removal of particles, bacteria and micro-organisms. It reinforced nylon membrane meets pharmaceutical grade requirements. PET is used as a support layer to increase mechanical strength. It has very low extractability and provides excellent flow diffusion.
