ATP Environment - Physical Dust Filtration Systems
ATP cyclones are the simplest system for dust treatment. Their shape is designed so that the powders, as they enter, take on a descending swirling motion that due to their weight will cause them to deposit at the bottom of the cyclone, while clean air will rise to the top.
They are normally used to reduce the volume of particulate matter from an air stream or as a pre-filter for higher efficiency abatement systems.
A spiral motion from top to bottom is imposed on the gas entering the cyclone.
The particles, having greater inertia than the gas, will tend to slam against the cylinder walls and fall to the bottom of the system where a hopper for dust recovery is located.
Ideally a cyclone can be represented by a cylindrical structure with a funnel-shaped outlet, consisting of a suitably sized inlet and an outlet for the gas to be treated.
The capacity to treat particles with more or less fine particle size depends on the diameter of the cyclone.
The cyclones guarantee a high efficiency with particles larger than 10 micrometers.
This technology is specifically engineered for each application and to ensure compliance with regulations.
