EIWAttrition Scrubbers for Grain-on-Grain Scrubbing

SHARE
Eagle Iron Works' Attrition Scrubbers are engineered to deliver high-intensity scrubbing of fine materials, specifically designed to handle particles measuring minus 5mm x 0. These machines ensure a long-lasting performance due to their use of wear-resistant materials in the construction of high-wear components and heavy US gauge steel for the tank. They include clean-out pipes for efficient discharge and a removable drive assembly for simplified maintenance. The working principle involves sand slurry entering the attrition cells where turbine blade propellers create inter-particle abrasion, facilitating the removal of foreign material. The machine’s efficiency is optimized by a continuous feed of material at 65% to 85% solids, following which a Fine Material Washer is recommended for further processing. Key features include a heavy-duty design, five-bladed propellers, and rubber-lined wear surfaces for durability.

Eagle Iron Works Attrition Scrubbers are designed for long service life and ease of maintenance. Parts that experience the most wear and abrasion are made from the most wear-resistant material available. The tank itself is fabricated with heavy US gauge steel. Clean-out pipes are located on the bottom of the tank for easy discharge. Simplifying maintenance, the drive assembly, cover, shaft and propellers may be removed from the tank as a single unit.

As sand slurry enters the feed cell of the Attrition Scrubbers, turbine blade propellers force the material grains to constantly abrade each other while moving the material from cell to cell within the machine, resulting in a clean, usable material.

Each rubber-lined shaft assembly consists of two turbine blade propellers set at opposite pitch and different degrees of pitch, giving feed material its direction of movement through the machine. A constant feed of material to the Attrition Scrubbers is necessary for the most efficient attrition possible; the rate of discharge from the Attrition Scrubbers is directly dependent upon the feed to the machine.

For the most efficient abrading action, the feed slurry entering the machine should be maintained at 65% to 85% solids. A Fine Material Washer is recommended to follow the discharge of the Attrition Scrubbers for de-sliming purposes.
