- Designed to test tack coat shear strength on 150mm or 100mm asphalt cores
- Designed for use in a variety of standard compression testing machines (including the Marshall Test load frames) that will accept a maximum height of 10 inches
- The fixture allows for 1 inch of shear travel and uses ¾ inch aluminum, fixed and free shear plates
- Shear plates are relieved vertically and horizontally, to reduce stress concentration at loading points
