The Cole-Parmer SamplePrep HG-800 Geno/Grinder is engineered as an automated unit that integrates with most robotic systems and platforms.

Typical applications include: isolation of nucleic acids, (RNA/DNA) enzymes, yeast, proteins and bacteria.

Typical samples include: animal tissue, plant tissue, cell cultures, yeast, fruit, and bacteria.

  • Integrates with automated robotic systems.
  • The clamp mechanism is automatically secured before the grinding process begins.
  • Accommodates all standard titer plates.
  • Complete cycle time is two minutes or less.
  • Fast and efficient extraction of nucleic acids, proteins and other molecules.
  • Average processing time of two minutes or less gives the unit the ability to run around the clock.

The Cole-Parmer SamplePrep HG-800 GenoGrinder is designed to effectively disrupt cellular materials by oscillating one or two deep-well titer plates vertically. It is ideal for high-throughput processing of samples for isolation of nucleic acids (RNA/DNA), enzymes, yeast, proteins, and bacteria. It automates high-throughput homogenization by allowing users to run a large number of pre-loaded stacked titer plates unattended.

The HG-800 accommodates titer plates, vials, and standard SPE plates for maximum versatility. The unit works with or without buffer using various grinding media.

The Geno/Grinder seamlessly integrates with most robotic platforms, eliminating manual handling, and creating a fully automated workflow. A robotic arm places the titer plate(s) into the clamp, starts the run, and transfers the plates for the next step.

Designed for fast and efficient sample processing, the HG-800 Geno/Grinder disrupts seeds, stems, roots, leaves, and animal tissue in two minutes or less. The vertical shaking motion provides powerful and consistent disruption, pulverizing dry samples with grinding balls for effective tissue breakdown.

The Cole-Parmer SamplePrep HG-800 is customizable for your needs. It has adjustable stroke rate settings from 500 to 1750 stroked per minute, and run times from 15 seconds to 20 minutes, tailored to your specific application. The automatic clamp mechanism secures the plates before the grinding process begins for worry-free operation.

The password-protected, touch screen control panel enables you to program run time, rate, cycles, and pause time. Up to 500 protocols can be easily labeled, saved, recalled, and exported via USB.
