BACTcontrol - Fully Automatic Enzymes Analysis System
We negotiate BACTcontrol (formerly COLIGUARD), produced by the Dutch company MicroLAN. As the only device of its kind on the market today, BACTcontrol can specifically analyze for E.coli or coliform bacteria with low detection limits in just 1-2 hours.
BACTcontrol itself takes samples after a freely editable scheme, and has the ability to filter larger amounts of water, thus increasing sensitivity. The analysis is based on the detection of specific enzymes (β-galactosidase for coliform bacteria and β-glucuronidase for E.coli ), and BACTcontrol can therefore respond to contaminants caused by coliform bacteria.
