Stevens / Dyacon - Model BHT -Barometric Pressure, Humidity, Temperature Sensor
The BHT is a digital sensor that measures barometric pressure, ambient temperature, and relative humidity. All sensing elements are integrated within a single probe and radiation shield. The BHT features a low-power, digital output with a Modbus RTU interface and has an optional SDI-12 connection.Temperature and relative humidity data are supplied by a high-precision Swiss sensing element. The advanced capacitive sensor offers exceptional accuracy within its specified operational range. Its durable design ensures stability in challenging environments and demonstrates minimal aging over time.
A 24-bit ADC digital pressure sensor element offers a measurement accuracy of ±1.5 mbar. (For reference, this corresponds to an altitude change of approximately 10 centimeters.)
The BHT mounting system is compatible with standard 1” pipe, PVC, aluminum, or steel. The horizontal mounting pipe positions the air sensor away from the mass of surrounding structures and equipment that may affect air flow and temperature. The pipe also serves as an air duct for the normal passive aspiration or the optional aspirator kit.
The BHT can be integrated with the Smart-Fan™ aspiration kit to enhance performance, even in solar power station environments. A radiation shield may experience heating in wind conditions below 3 MPH, which could lead to inaccurate temperature readings under low wind scenarios. To maintain accurate measurements, consider utilizing the Aspirator Fan upgrade for the BHT to help keep the air temperature sensor cool. Additionally, this kit is suitable for upgrading units in the field.
