Bio-W introduces a new era in the absorption and disposal of hydrocarbon contaminants facing today’s complex and demanding industries. Bio-W is the first bioremedial, floating absorbent designed to collect and contain most hydrocarbons floating in water (both salt and fresh water). This product has the ability to repel water therefore allowing it to “hold” only the hydrocarbons it absorbs. When the hydrocarbons are “locked” or adhered to the fibers of the Bio-W flakes, the activated microbes will begin to remediate or “eat” the contaminant turning the hydrocarbons into harmless carbon dioxide (C02) and water. Bio-W will remain floating, even when fully saturated with hydrocarbon contamination. It will not leach or drain during the bioremedial process. This product is a natural, non-hazardous, non-polluting compound that is manufactured through a patented process to solve contamination problems occurring on water and to reduce the cost and environmental impact of the disposal of these contaminant’s. Bio-W can be re-used after an absorption of a spill. It can be used to absorb another spill or aid in the process of soil remediation. It is not as aggressive in soil remediation as some of our other more specific soil remediation products however, it does act as a natural fertilizer and is not harmful in any way to the environment.

Bio-W is a highly effective environmentally safe product that provides bioremedial solutions for a cleaner, greener planet and valuable long-term savings. It will work well on both fresh and salt water applications. The following suggested directions are a general guideline to the use of the product: GENERAL DIRECTIONS: 1. Apply Bio-W flakes evenly and liberally to the surface of the water, covering the “floating” contaminant; 2. It is not necessary to “fully cover” all the surface area as Bio-W will draw the contaminant to itself; 3. Bio-W flakes will absorb and collect the contaminant, like a sponge absorbs water. The Bio-W flakes will continue to float; 4. Remove the absorbed flakes from the surface of the water with a net, skimmer, rake or any device that will allow excess water to filter through; 5. Place the skimmed flakes in a plastic bag and close and stand for 10 day. During this time frame, the product will “assimilate” into a non-hazardous substance; 6. The flakes will dry out and take on the coloration of the absorbed material and can then be re-used or mulched into contaminated soil to assist in the remediation of the soil; 7. Dispose of according to local, state & federal regulations.
