Body Washers
More and more frequently, bodies in white go through a repeat washing process before they are transferred to the painting facility to clean off what, in some cases, can be heavy soiling from cuttings, sanding dust and welding residue in an effort to ease strain on the preconditioning facilities and permit optimum assessment of the bodyshell for faults.
In the majority of cases, this is done in continuous pass-through operation, but can also be realized intermittently. In principle, these systems are made up of two consecutive spraying zones and a downstream body-tilting station and drip-off zone. The package provided also comes with the associated conveying and electrical system.
The body washer is equipped with bath cleaning facilities such as magnetic separators, hydro-cyclones, bag filters, the relevant spray pumps and heat exchangers, blow-drying gantry as well as the necessary metering equipment for degreasing.
