Clevebio - Model Amnite K150 -Bulking Sludge Control Product

The product contains 8 strains belonging to the Bacillus and Pseudomonas genera. The component strains include both aerobic and facultative organisms. The total viable count in the ready to use product is not less than 4.0 x 10⁸ cfu/g.

The bacteria in the product need to be reactivated in warm water (temperature range 25 - 30°C) for about 30 to 60 minutes before application. The product is most effective when the operating conditions in the treatment plant are close to the optimum listed below:

Amnite K150 is a maintenance product for controlling bulking sludges in municipal and industrial aerobic treatment systems caused by the presence of an excessively high proportion of filamentous organisms in the biomass. The product is generally applied after an Amnite K100 pre-treatment programme. The bacterial strains in the product rapidly increase the proportion of flocs in the biomass and ensure an improved settlement of the sludge. Amnite K150 can also be used on its own in treatment plants with a seasonal bulking problem provided it is added prior to the event.

Amnite K150 is a granular powder formulated to improve the settling characteristics of bulking sludges by controlling the growth of filamentous organisms. The product contains floc-forming micro-organisms that grow rapidly and quickly establish a dominant position within the biomass. The product also increases oxygen transfer by reducing the surface foam. The product is homogeneous and safe to use. It does not contain any pathogens.
