Pilum went through a transformation in 2006, from an investment company focusing on manufacturing companies to a concern with focus on the energy and environmental technology sector.

Acquistion Envipower AB -2012

In June 2012 Pilum acquired the fast-growing company Envipower with activities in both service and upgrading of existing plants. with activities . The customer base, mainly in the middle of Sweden, is to be found in pulp & paper, mining- and power generating industry. The company has en outstanding position providing unique products together with world class suppliers. The company was founded in 2008 and has established offices in Gävle, Sundsvall and Enköping.

Acquisition Polyproject AB -2010

Polyproject Sweden AB was acquired in 2010. Polyproject is one of Scandinavia`s leading companies in the production of plastic products and components to Swedish and Nordic industry. Polyproject is also a well known supplier of systems for cleaning process and condensate water and inorganic coatings. Polyproject work closely with companies such as ITT, Volvo, SAAB, Sala Brand and others

Polyproject has since its inception in the 1950’s gone from being merely a component supplier to also supplying proprietary products and systems.

The company was sold in 2013.

Acquisition Industrifilter -2008

In April 2008, Bravida Industrifilter was acquired, and is now a separate business area, Pilum Industrifilter, within the group.

Pilum Industrifilter was founded in Gothenburg in the 1960’s, at that time with its own filter manufacturing. Bravida, formerly BPA, bought the operations in the 1990’s in conjunction with a restructuring of Industrifilter AB.

Since then, it has focused on engineering services and comprehensive concepts for flue gas and process water treatment.

Start Pilum Engineering -2005

Pilum Engineering was founded by Pilum AB in August 2005. Pilum Engineering has since 1988 delivered about 50 plants of various size and type.

Acquisition Pilum Technologies -1998

Pilum Technologies was established in 1953 as a sheet metal company "Percy Persson Plåt AB". The business consists of product and component deliveries in corrosion free materials mainly for water treatment.

The company was sold in 2012.
