McIntyre - Model 407 -CAT Shear
407 Shear and Cat shear with 16`` Blade. The 407 is a robust and powerful shear designed to be durable enough for the most difficult working environments, it is used extensively throughout the world for cropping both ferrous and none ferrous metals. The 407 can be moved on its own wheels or it has fork lifting slots in the body making it a truly versatile shear.
The Vortex 407 CATShear has been purpose-built for recovering valuable precious metals from catalytic converters. The catalytic converter is simply placed in the jaws and is controlled by a movable foot pedal. The pinched end of the converter is then re-opened on a side bracket allowing the contents to be poured out. This is a modification to the standard 407 that can be easily removed for standard shearing activities.
