Samyang - Model Trilite WCA10L -Cation Exchange Resin
TRILITE WCA10L is a Gaussian, WAC porous-type exchange resin with excellent ion removal capacity, which allows for the economical production of high-purity water. TRILITE® WCA10L has outstanding physical and chemical strength, resulting in a low resin crush rate over long-term use. It is supplied in its H+ form.
TRILITE® WAC exchange resin uses carboxyl group (-COOH) as the functional group, and it is weak acidic with no salt splitting capacity, meaning it does not dissociate or exchange ions in acidic solutions.
The pH range in which an ion exchange is possible is 5~14, and it has a higher exchange capacity and is easier to regenerate compared to SAC exchange resins, making it ideal for water softening applications with high performance. The regeneration efficiency is high, but it is easy to lose exchanged ions, resulting in high ion leakage in the treated solution. Therefore, it is often used in combination with SAC exchange resin in water treatment applications, or for special purposes such as in pharmaceutical/food purification.
TRILITE WCA10L has high total capacity and macroporous polymer structure which facilitates the diffusion of ions, especially divalent or multivalent cations. It is used for demineralization, metal recovery, and special refinement.
