Cone Drive - Model Series B -Gearbox - Adaptable Right Angle Drive
The Series B gearbox from Cone Drive is a flexible and economically viable right angle gearing solution, characterized by its lightweight aluminum housing that enhances thermal performance. Directly interchangeable with competitor reducers, it features Cone Drive's proprietary Conex worm gearing, which includes two input bearings and a distinctive non-fretting motor connection. The design optionally supports a washdown environment and is available with USDA-approved white epoxy paint. Promising best-in-class lead times and backed by a two-year warranty, this gearbox is built for versatility and reliability. The double-enveloping worm gear, unique for its hourglass shape, ensures maximum contact between components, thus providing high torque capacity and durability. This design contributes to higher load capacity, reduced contact stress, and increased shock capacity, offering the option to downsize the gearbox or upsize the motor for more power. Operating temperatures should not exceed 100°F above ambient or 200°F maximum at the oil sump. For continuous applications where the absorbed power exceeds thermal ratings, a fan should be employed. Regular maintenance and the use of approved lubricants are crucial for optimal performance and longevity. Most popular related searches
