MiniTower - Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM)

Using two server class Serial ATA II drives, the RAID 1 mirrored drives data storage array delivers superior reliability, high fault tolerance and excellent performance.  Optionally, four (4) SATA II drives can be configured as a RAID 01 mirrored stripes data storage array.  Designed and manufactured to enterprise server-class standards for 24x7 operations, they offer the best combination of superior reliability, vibration tolerance, and optimum performance.  The drives are mounted in drive bays with silicone grommets to isolate hard drive vibration. A vibration isolated hard drive will be more stable and less likely to suffer a mechanical failure.  For harsh or high vibration environments, the Windows XP embedded operating system on Compact Flash media is an optional enhancement to further significantly increase overall system reliability.  Extended duty SATA 2½” notebook hard drives featuring 24/7 operation and high shock tolerance are also optionally available.

Memory heat-spreaders are used to dissipate heat, improving its performance and avoiding system crashes caused by overheated RAM.  The V.92 controller based hardware chipset modem ensures trouble-free remote access connections.  Data archiving to CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW optical media is secure and easy. The high speed USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394a interfaces ensure that alternative back-up peripheral or add-on hardware such as tape drives are easily connected to the system. A UPS is included to ensure the orderly shutdown of applications to avoid data loss or database corruption in the event of a power loss condition.

Third party applications Diskeeper, pcAnywhere, Acronis True Image, Nero 7 Essentials suite and Anti-Virus with a one year subscription are included to defragment, optimize and enhance the system to ensure on-going serviceability, data backup and protection.

When combined with Nexus Solutions’ CEMView Data Acquisition Systems for Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM DAHS), the CEMView-mTPC platform offers an economical solution for CEM DAHS applications.
