In contrast to classic shaft measuring machines, where only 2D sizes are determined with transmitted light illumination, these coordinate measuring machines also enable the measurement of gears, flutes, control cams and cooling holes, for example, with conventional tactile sensors, the patented Werth Fiber Probe® micro-probe or the Werth Laser Probe in a single set-up thanks to the multi-sensor concept.
