Vertical chain brush filter is used to separate suspended solids from water in which they are present. Water to treat is conveyed inside a channel, where is located the machine. Filtering surface stops solids larger than filtering space and lets flow the filtered water. Cleaning of filtering surface is made by damper brushes installed on chain. These brushes have also the scope to transport solids removed from the filtering surface, till the point of discharge of machine. In this zone acts the scraper, which cleans the brush and unloads the screened material outside machine.

HOW IT IS BUILT
In the basic configuration, machine is supplied complete of:
- Head with swan-neck shape on top, to permit a better unloading of screened material. Inside machine are located shaft and crown gears in stainless steel, necessary for handling of chains.
- Motorization with adjustable torque limiter device. Pivoting scraper with frame in stainless steel and wear part in polyethylene.
- Frame in stainless steel with internal guides and sealing rubber. Replaceable lower chain slide guides in stainless steel without bearings.
- Protection covers made in stainless steel for the part of machine out of channel. Filtering surface with curved top part, to allow a better cleaning at passage of brush. Fixing bracket in stainless steel, adjustable in height, to anchor machine to channel.
- Damper brush installed on support in stainless steel, easily replaceable.
- Chain for fixing of brushes, made by links in stainless steel with rollers in arnite.
