1970 Founded in Machida, Tokyo, as a manufacturer and a distributor of measurement instruments for industrial use, primary Air Leak Testers.
1972 Built a new building for office and plant in Takakura, Hachioji, Tokyo, in order to expand its business. Accordingly, sales of Air Leak Testers increased remarkably, and Cosmo became the leading company in the leak test industry.
1976 Established the Nagoya Sales Office.
1977 Established the Osaka Sales Office.
1982 Built a larger building for office and plant in Ishikawa, Hachioji, Tokyo in order to expand its business.
1983 Concluded an agent contract with Diafriend Corporation in Taiwan.
Established the Hiroshima Sub-Branch.
Established the Korea Branch Office, and launched its overseas business.
1984 Established the Detroit Resident Office in the United States.
Established the Urawa Sales Office.
1985 Expanded its headquarters building.
Upgraded the Detroit Resident Office in the United States to a Branch Office in order to expand the overseas business.
1987 Upgraded the Hiroshima Sub-Branch to a Sales Office and aimed to expand sales in the Chugoku and Kyushu area.
1989 Established the Hamamatsu Sales Office.
1990 Commenced construction work for the second expansion of the headquarters building as one of the events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the founding of the company.
1991 Established the Tohoku Sales Office in Sendai.
1995 Concluded an agent contract with Wave Electronics & Electrical System Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia.
1999 Acquired ISO9001 certification. (Registration certificate number: JQA-QM3681)
2000 Acquired ISO9001certification for the Detroit Branch Office.
2001 Established Cosmowave Technology Co., Ltd., a local subsidiary in Thailand. (Wave group)
2002 Closed down the Detroit Branch Office in the United States and established COSMO SOLUTIONS TECHNOLOGY, INC. (CST, INC.), a local subsidiary in the United States. Transitioned to ISO9001:2000 edition and acquired the new certification.
Closed down the Korea Branch Office and established COSMO KOREA, a local subsidiary.
2003 Established the Shanghai Office in China.
2004 Concluded an agent contract with Industrial Research Technology Pty. Ltd. in Australia.
2005 Wave Electronics & Electrical System Sdn. Bhd. established an office in Jakarta, Indonesia, and concluded an agent contract with Cosmo.Acquired ISO14001 certification. (Registration number: JQA-EM5044)

2008 Established the Kyushu Sales Office in Fukuoka.
2009 Cosmo Group Calibration Laboratory is accredited as a calibration institution able to perform pressure calibrations in accordance with ISO/IEC17025. (Registration number RCL00350) Completed transition to ISO9001:2008 edition.
2010 Closed down the office in India and established COSMO INSTRUMENTS INDIA PVT. LTD., a local subsidiary. Concluded a sales and service agent contract with TEX Equipamentos Eletronicos Ind. Com. Ltda. in Brazil.
