VMI Gladiator - Model 12 -Cutter Suction Dredge
The VMI Gladiator 12 is equipped with a 14 inch (355mm) suction and 12 inch (300mm) discharge pump and maximum dredging depth of 30 feet (9.1m). This dredge features heavy duty construction for maximum durability and long life. A large operator cabin provides plenty of space for operator comfort, storage, and additional personnel. The dredge easily breaks down into sections for transportation.
High-pressure hydraulic piston pumps and motors offer increased efficiency and extend hydraulic component life. The dual acting boom cylinders provide power up and down so additional force may be applied downward on the cutter head while digging. Our rack and pinion spud drive system provides power up and down allowing the ability to force the spuds down into the ground to better hold their position. Our free floating spud option allows the ability to place the spuds into free sliding mode for changing water levels while the dredge is not in use. Optional jib crane, lighting, generator, tail winch and different cutting edges are available. The pontoons are available cora-foam filled for floatation safety or with removable man-lids.
