Cytiva Healthcare’s Life Sciences business offers a variety of Whatman Polycap filter options beyond PTFE filter membrane media. Browse the Whatman range to find the right capsule filter for your application.
Filtration of organic solvents and aggressive solutions requires a durable membrane for filtration without sample contamination.
Autoclavable Polycap TF capsule filters feature PTFE membranes with high chemical resistance. Common applications include venting, in-line filtration to sterilize* and remove particles from air/gas/liquid streams, filtration to ensure clean inert gases in vial filling lines, and isolation of exhaust from fermenters.
Polycap TF filters support use in the electronics, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical industries, because they are photoresistant and can be used to vent and perform in-line filtration for production systems in biological environments.
- Housing : Polypropylene (PP)
- Operating Pressure Max. : 4.1 bar (60 psi)
- Vent : On inlet
- Flow Direction : Supported bidirectionally. Certain applications may require orientation, i.e., vents. Reverse flow only for low pressure applications.
- Sterilization : May be autoclaved at 121°C for 20 minutes. Multiple autoclave cycles are possible. However, the responsibility for reuse is with the operator. The device should be protected from cross contamination. An integrity test should be performed after autoclaving.Compatible with EtO sterilization.
- Sealing : Heat-fused
- Support System : Polypropylene (PP)
