Datum Electronics - Model FF425 -Non Contact Flanged Torque Transducer | Shaft Torque Monitoring
The FF425 is a fully contactless flange-to-flange torque sensor designed for inline installation in drivetrains and test rigs. With standard DIN flange couplings at either end, it offers seamless integration into existing setups, delivering precise shaft torque, speed, and power data across a wide range of applications. Whether you require rotary torque monitoring in high-speed systems or are validating power output in industrial machinery, the FF425 offers a reliable, drop-in solution.- Flange-mounted motor and drivetrain testing
- High-precision torque monitoring in test rigs
- Torque validation in production and QA systems
- Industrial automation with minimal maintenance
- Electric motor and actuator performance analysis
- Torque measurement in sealed or clean environments
The FF425 rotary torque transducer utilises a strain gauged shaft for accurate and reliable torque measurement and a set of rotating on shaft conditioning electronics. The digital signals are transmitted to the non-rotating part of the system or stator providing a reliable and highly accurate torque measurement solution.
Using our revolutionary new electronics as used in our industry standard, our M425 inline rotary torque sensor, the FF425 gives customers higher resolution with up to 24bit resolution and the ability to choose their digital sample rates from 1 to 1000sps.
FF425 Flange Torque Sensor Features
The FF425 non-contact rotary flange to flange torque sensor has 11 standard torque ranges. The torque sensor offers very high accuracy, operational stability, high signal resolution and wide range of signal outputs across the whole range of torque from 0-100Nm and up to 30,000Nm.

If you’re looking to measure static torque? Then the Datum Electronics Series FF410 Reaction torque sensor with standard DIN flanges will be an ideal and cost-effective choice. This static torque sensor was based on our FF425 series of rotary torque transducers and is used to measure torque with no rotation or angular acceleration. As in the FF425 Flange to Flange Torque Sensor range, FF410 Reaction transducer design uses the same basic shaft components and cutting-edge strain gauge technology, allowing us to keep the reaction torque transducer competitively priced with a high torsional stiffness included.
The 410 Static Non-Contact Torque Transducer and FF425 Flange to Flange Rotational Torque Sensors easily fit into your existing test rig, test bench or drive train. Using standard DIN flanges, fitting and coupling, the FF 425 dynamic torque sensors and FF110 static torque transducers are made more efficient than other options available. The minimum operating envelope of the Datum flange to flange torque meters starts from 100mm and will increase depending upon torque measurement requirements.
