The wire winch is designed to operate a cutter forwards and backwards in the pipe system with the help of the steel wire, which can be attached to the cutter with an eye mounted at both ends of the cutter. With a wire winch the working length = the wire length – 5 m.

One winch is mounted on a trailer/vehicle, for example, which is placed at the start of the work section (the well or manhole that is nearest to the trailer/vehicle). The moveable winch is placed at the other end of the work section, and controlled via a cable connection to the control panel. The control system is thus set up in such a way that a controlled dolly traction can be provided to the winch that emits the wire. This function operates in both directions.

The cutter can now be moved forwards and backwards using the wire winch.
