DCL - Compact Filter Modules
The DCL Compact Filter Module (CFM) captures dust directly from the loading spout, filtering it efficiently at the source. The collected dust is reintegrated into the material flow, reducing product loss, minimizing manual handling, and enhancing efficiency at load-out sites.
Available in sizes up to 1,660 sq. ft. of filter media with an air withdrawal capacity of up to 6,000 CFM.
The Compact Filter Module (CFM) is ideal for use inline at any bulk material transfer point requiring dust control when used with a DCL Loading Spout.
The CFM can filter dust at the source using an inline filtration system. This system allows the product to flow through a central flow tube while isolating it from the upward dust-entrained airflow. The collected dust is deposited back into the material being handled, increasing efficiency at load-out sights and reducing the need for manual dumping of the material.
This makes the Compact Filter Module an ideal cost-effective package, especially compared to a free-standing dust collector that utilizes ductwork, a discharge airlock, and often a means of conveying the dust back to the system.
Its low-profile configuration allows it to function in spaces where space is limited. The exhaust fan is directly mounted to the assembly, eliminating the need for remote fan placement. This unique design provides internal velocities lower than what you’d expect in conventional designs. This gives you less load on your filtration media. The filter elements are automatically cleaned during operation with a conventional 80-100 PSI pulse jet system. The unit can also be provided with a final clean feature. When activated at the end of each loading cycle, it fully cleans all elements, eliminating residuals.
Filter media is available to accommodate most applications. Pleated design, spun-bonded media features a smooth surface finish with exceptional dust cake release. The filter surface is calendared and compacted to resist penetration by collected particulate. This results in better cleaning efficiency and faster return to operating airflow after the cleaning cycle than traditional media.
A choice of construction materials allows you to effectively handle all types of products—fine, granular, lumpy, abrasive, and corrosive—and difficult, dusty, or sanitary applications. You can also choose the best electrical options for your environment: NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 7, NEMA 9, 120V/220V control, 460V/415V power, etc.
The CFM features up to 1,660 square feet of filter media and supports air withdrawal rates of up to 6,000 CFM.
