Source separated wastewater treatment
Desah developed a local/decentralized and circular wastewater treatment system which uses source separation and treats black and grey water separately. The big goal of this system is to decrease drinking water usage and reuse water, energy and nutrients. The black water is collected via vacuum toilets and vacuum sewerage (and if necessary also via kitchen shredders) and the grey water is collected via gravity. The two streams are transported separately to a compact local wastewater treatment plant which is located in the neighborhood. There the wastewater streams are treated on an energy efficient way and can be reused or discharged to the surface water.

Containerised mobile wastewater treatment

A mobile solution for wastewater treatment is possible in the form of containers. This robust, easy-to-operate solution is a compact and versatile alternative to traditional treatment plants.

The modular design makes the installation flexible and plug-and-play, ideal for efficiently treating and reusing wastewater.

Black water treatment

Desah also delivers an advanced blackwater treatment system, which consists of a thermophilic digester and modules for nitrogen and phosphate removal.

This system enables the production of biogas, the removal of micro-pollutants, and the recovery of struvite, offering valuable applications in energy production and agriculture, among other fields.
