DeviceNetModel HI 200DNWM -Weigh Module for Load Cell Sensors

Hardy"s HI 200DNWM is the first general purpose weigh module designed specifically to the DeviceNet open network standard, and the first to pass conformance testing at one of ODVA"s independent laboratories. This instrument provides power for up to four, 350 ohm, standard strain gauge load cells, load sensors and load points.

The HI 200DNWM receives and digitizes the weight signal and transmits Gross, Net and Tare weight data over the DeviceNet open network interface to other devices. Two independent TTL level outputs provide setpoint capability with separate deadbands and preacts for use in applications such as batching, blending, filling, dispensing, level and check weighing. It responds to both Command Interface (discrete) and Explicit (block) messages.

When the HI 200DNWM is used with C2 certified load cells, THE BUTTON allows the system to be automatically set up, calibrated and on line in a matter of seconds, reducing the system start up time and costs. Hardy`s exclusive WAVERSAVER feature eliminates the effects of plant and process vibration.

This instrument is the first DeviceNet weighing module to be referenced by Rockwell Automation`s Encompass program.

The HI 200DNWM Series B now allows easier programming and increased flexibility through features such as:

  • A "Command Interface" for easy access to all parameters without the use of explicit messages
  • A choice of outputs with selectable decimal point location
  • A selectable update rate of 10 or 55 samples per second

The HI 200DNWM supports up to eight C2 certified load sensors and provides power to scales with up to four 350-ohm standard strain gauge load cells, load sensors or load points. It receives and digitizes the weight signal with over one million bits of resolution, and transmits the selectable Gross, Net and Tare weight data over the DeviceNet Open Network interface to other devices. Data is transmitted at three switch selectable baud rates of 125, 250 or 500 kilobytes per second. The DNWM acts as a slave on the network and supports a polling I/O exchange mechanism. Two on-board bi-color LEDs provide module and system status for troubleshooting.

Set Points
Two independent TTL level outputs provide set point capability each with separate deadbands and preacts for control capabilities in a variety of weighing applications.

C2 Electronic Calibration
C2 enables electronic calibration of the weigh system without test weights. This saves system start-up costs and aggravation. Of course, even if C2 certified load sensors are not used, the system can still be calibrated the slow, traditional way using certified test weights.

Waversaver
Waversaver eliminates the effects of unwanted plant vibration on or around the scale by permitting the weigh module to “see” through the unwanted vibration signals - as low as 0.25Hz - while yielding a stable actual reading.

The Button
With one push of a button the weigh scale module automatically calibrates the weighing system, making it ready for use. This saves system start-up time costs and aggravations.

Additional Features
This module comes with a disk containing the Electronic Data Sheet (EDS) and a user`s manual. This product is available for dual stacking in an instrument cabinet, on standoffs, or on din rail, It is also available with a summing card packaged in a painted steel NEMA 4 or Stainless steel NEMA 4x junction box.
