Enviro-USA - Dewatering Bags

Enviro-USA’s Dewatering Bags also known as Filter Bags or Sediment Bags are used to collect silt and sediment during dewatering operations. Our bags have been designed to handle high water flows, while providing great puncture, elongation and tensile strengths. As water passes through the bag it gets filtered while allowing the sediment to remain within the Sediment Bag. Our Dewatering Bags are made from 8 oz. non-woven geotextile fabric.

Here are the standard Dewatering Filter Bags manufactured by Enviro-USA:

• 6′ x 6′ dewatering bag for 6″ inlet
• 8′ x 10′ dewatering bag for 6″ inlet
• 10′ x 15′ dewatering bag for 6″ inlet
• 15′ x 15′ dewatering bag for 6″ inlet
• 15′ x 25′ dewatering bag for 6″ inlet

1. Place lifting straps (not included) under the unit to facilitate removal after use. Unfold the Dewatering Bag on a stabilized drainage area. Make sure that the PSI is not turned up all the way. For a 10’x15’ bag, the PSI should not exceed 80 gal/min/sqft.
2. Insert discharge hose from pump into the Dewatering Bag a minimum of six inches (6”) and tightly secure with attached strap to prevent unfiltered water from flowing out of the unit.
3. If using optional absorbents, place absorbent boom into the Dewatering Bag.

Caution: Dewatering bags are sturdy and permeable, but not indestructible. High pumping rates or high concentration of sediment can cause the bag to burst.

• Replace the dewatering bag when 1/2 full of sediment or when the pump discharge has reduced to an impractical rate. If using optional oil absorbents; remove and replace absorbent when near saturation.
