Ecological characteristics

Compatibility
To take advantage of the ecological properties and selectivity of this product it is advisable not to mix it with other insecticides.
Main target insect-pests
DIFLOX COMPRESSE is effective against all larval phases of mosquitoes, chironomid midges and simulidate in their development environment.
Areas of application
DIFLOX COMPRESSE is suitable to be used in places that become larvae reproduction centres in urban and tourist environments. In particular, DIFLOX COMPRESSE should be used inside sewage access points, manholes, ornamental fountains, waste water drains, temporarily flooded areas and all other places and object that can withhold rainwater. DIFLOX COMPRESSE is of great help in circumstances where liquid larvicides can hardly be used because of the presence of obstacles to the access to the infested sites.
Usage rates
Depending on the quantity of water to be treated and on the presence of organic matter, DIFLOX COMPRESSE must be used as follows:
- in clear waters: 1 tablet every 500-1000 litres water;
- in waters with heavy presence of organic matter or thick vegetation: 1 tablet every 400-500 litres water
To treat sewage channels, drains and manholes where the water exchange cannot be calculated, the recommended rate is 1 tablet per access point. Moreover, it is important to check that the tablet actually gets in touch with water once inside the sewage access.
