Discovery - Crawler Land Rig
Discovery offers the “Crawler” type rigs up to 500 Ton capacity. This design includes Cantilever type Masts that can be raised by the Drawworks or with hydraulic cylinders and modular box on box type substructures. These substructures allow for transverse skidding of the drill floor as well as longitudinal skidding of the substructure.
The “Crawler” type design is normally fully winterized for polar climates however the design can easily be adapted for tropical or desert operations if multiple and parallel rows of wells are required.
This design includes Discovery AC electric drive Drawworks, the most state of the art VFD and AC drive technology, required rotating equipment, high pressure mud systems up to 7500 psi working pressure, customized low pressure mud systems, as well as any applicable operational support equipment.
At the client’s request, Discovery can provide Top Drive Systems, Handling tools, Safety and Fire Fighting equipment, and well control equipment.
