Dredging Barge Silt Turbidity Curtain
Our Dredge Barge Silt Curtain is a unique system that allows a turbidity barrier to be mounted to the side of dredging barge providing localized turbidity control. This unique curtain system allows for mechanical clamshell dredging or controlled material placement without the suspended solids concerns.
Dredging Barrier Picture Overview
Barge Turbidity curtains are made from coated PVC fabric skirts (geotextile filter panels are optional) and equipped with tension cable, ballast chain and reefing furling lines to allow the skirts to be adjusted from the deck.
Custom Systems Available
To facilitate the lowering and furling of the dredge barrier we recommend davits and mechanical winches.
To control the silt barriers skirt billow in current we have control pipes that can be inserted against the side of the barge to ensure the work area does not get affected.
