Potential Engineering - Drum Oil Skimmer
Drum oil skimmers are designed for the efficient removal of free-floating oil. The floating oil comes in contact with the rotating drum and sticks to its surface. The oil from the surface of the rotating drum is scraped off and collected in a tank. From the collection tank, oil is transferred using an oil transfer pump, mounted on the skimmer head or kept on shore. Drum skimmer can be of floating drum skimmer or fixed drum skimmer as per requirement and it can be operated either automatically or manually. Depending on site conditions and your requirement we are able to provide customized solutions in terms of automation as well as enhanced oily sludge phase conversion mechanisms consisting of cutters and steam arrangement.
Drum oil skimmer is economical, versatile equipment, designed for various oil recovery applications such as Oil water separator, coolant recovery, pre-treatment solution etc. The skimmer effectively removes a wide range of light and medium viscous oil. The floating oil adheres to a rotating oleophilic drum. The oil is scraped off from the drum and is collected in an integrated oil collection chamber. An oil transfer pump is installed to pump out the oil from the chamber. The pump is either mounted on the skimmer head or on shore.
