Ultrasonic atomizers operate in a complex structure; In the first step, the water jet is injected into the high speed air stream, where the initial breakdown of the liquid takes place. In the second step, this biphasic flow formed is directed to the region where the sound waves are located, and secondary splitting ensures minimal droplets to form. This is accomplished with the resonator placed in front of the orifice. The droplets of the mist cloud formed are about 30 microns.

At the second stage, this two-phased fluid is led to another zone and water is crumbled into very small drops (about 30 microns) via sound waves. This is done by a resonator mounted before the orifice.
