EcoClear - Self-Contained Fully Automated Water Treatment System
With 2 years of research and development between market leaders within their respective fields, the fully integrated EcoClear system enjoys the water treatment heritage and expertise of the UK’s authority on waterborne contamination, Siltbuster, and the wealth of knowledge and experience within the Hydrodemolition sector offered by Swedish based, Aquajet Systems AB.
A self-contained fully automated water treatment system designed to receive and process the highly alkaline and sediment rich blast waters created as an unwanted by-product of robotic Hydrodemolition. The EcoClear treats the water to such a high standard that it is safe and compliant for direct discharge into the natural environment. By processing these waters in situ with the EcoClear, the need and associated high costs for vacuum tankers which can only collect, hold and transfer a small finite amount of water for disposal on a batch basis are removed. For further cost savings, the treated water can also be re-used in the treatment process, eliminating water charges or water supply costs on-site.
The system achieves this thanks to the 15+ years of knowledge treating hydrodemolition waters that has been acquired by Siltbuster. EcoClear incorporates a multi-stage carbon dioxide dosing system, used to correct the pH from circa 13 to 7 neutral, which minimises the quantity of CO2 required to achieve the target value.
The entire unit is controlled via a purpose built PLC interface which has been tailor-made for the EcoClear system and the contamination it is tasked with processing.
Designed and developed by the Aquajet team who brought the hydrodemoliton industry the “Aqua Cutter evolution Control System” – the pinnacle of robotic hydrodemolition control – the EcoClear’s RECO follows suit by having the same clear, simple and intuitive interface allowing users to easily monitor and download a complete dataset of the waters turbidity and pH levels which can be kept on record or used as proof of compliance.
RECO goes a step further; by using the same on-board water quality sensors, it is capable of independently altering the chemical dose rates and processes used to treat the blast waters in response to the levels of contamination within the feed. This removes the errors associated with manual hand dosing and ensures that a remarkably high quality of water is produced every time – often consistently achieving less that <20mg/l.
Typical applications: Robotic Hydrodemolition, Robotic Concrete Cutting, Restricted Space Sites
