P.V. - Model Ei -Egg-Shaped Drainage Tube
The hydraulic shape of the egg-shaped profile is characterised by the narrow cross-section in the bottom and an increasing volume towards the top. The narrow cross-section in the invert ensures a higher flow velocity in dry weather and thus better discharge. The higher drag forces thus achieved contribute to lower deposits in the invert, which means that the flushing intervals of the pipe string can be extended. In the event of a rainstorm, the temporarily larger amount of water can be easily removed due to the upward increase in volume.
Thus the egg-shaped profile is "the most ingenious geometric cross-section for the combined sewer".
The P.V. Ei profile is produced in a casting process and hardens in the formwork. This ensures absolute dimensional accuracy. The smooth surface achieved by this production process contributes to an increased flow rate and supports the excellent self-cleaning properties of the Ei profile. The built-in transport anchors enable good handling and easy installation on the construction site. The pipes are manufactured with a seal firmly built into the socket, thus ensuring a correct fit. The P.V. Ei profiles are a maintenance-friendly pipe characterised by excellent self-cleaning. Due to its relatively small width, a reduced surcharge width is produced and installation in narrower trench widths is possible.
Of course, P.V. Ei profiles are compatible with the well-known P.V. manhole programme.
