Two-piece Auger Systems are made up of the Handle,and a Bottom Auger section. An additional extension section is also available for sampling to lower depths.The two sections are connected with a bayonet-style connection. Bayonet-Style Connection With the bayonet-style, the two parts to be joined (top and bottom of auger, or extension rods) are clamped into each other, then a coupling sleeve is pushed down to lock the connection.
