Activities in `70s

Our company has been established in 1973. Our main object then was the installation of Medium Voltage substations, earthing systems and the manufacture of MV & LV panels equipped with Surge Protective Devices (SPDs). Initially our offices were located down town Athens and our production facilities were located in a suburb near Athens.

Within the framework of production activities, was also the manufacturing of earthing materials such as, rods, connection components etc. The above mentioned activities were also completed with studies and installation of Lightning Protection Systems (LPS).

In 1976, due to the rapid development of our activities and mostly in the field of Lightning protection and earthing, our premises (offices and the production line) have been transferred in the same place, in Metamorphosis in order to achieve faster and better services to our clients.

In the early ‘80s our company has been reorganized in several departments such as sales, marketing, accounting, purchase, design and production etc.

Activities in `80s

In the mid of ‘80s we have integrated within the framework of our activities the performance of seminars – presentations training up today professional mechanicals, electricians, installers, technicians, students and pupils.

Also, we have published our 1st technical book "Lightning Protection of structures", the first book published in Greece concerning this specific subject. Until its last edition (1998) more than 29.000 books sold or offered free of charge to the attendees of our training seminars held by our company.

In the end of ‘80s we have settled down in our privately owned building in Metamorphosis, fully equipped so as to satisfy all the up to date needs for our employees and our customers.

Activities in `90s

In early `90s we have upgraded the legal status of our company from Ltd company to S.A. Also at the same period we have published our 2^nd technical book dealing with "Earthing Systems and Equipotential Protection". This book was the first book published in Greece concerning this specific subject. Until its last edition (2007) more than 21.000 books sold or offered free of charge to the attendees of our training seminars held by our company.

In 1995, we have established our Branch office in Thessaloniki (the heart of Northern Greece), in order to be able to serve more direct the needs of our clients from Northern Greece.

Also in 1995, first among other companies of our field, we have been certified with ISO 9001 by the International Certification Body Bureau Veritas for the design, of LPS and Earthling Systems, the manufacturing of components for lightning protection and earthing materials as well as design, installation, inspection and maintenance of Lightning Protection & Earthing Systems.

In 1998, our company knowing very well the developments in Europe decided to proceed with the establishment of a laboratory-research center, first in our country and among in few around the world, for the research, development and testing of products in general, used in Lightning Protection and Earthing Systems.

Activities in 2000

we have performed the presentation of the design of one of the most essential equipment of our laboratory, the lightning current generator of 100kA, 10/350ìs.

In 2002, our Research & Center laboratory has been certified by the International Certification Body Bureau Veritas, according to the requirements of standard ISO 9001/2000.

In 2003, the management of our company has decided to go ahead with our laboratory’s accreditation according to the requirements of standard EN-ISO/IEC 17025 and to start immediately the preparation business for the achievement of this target: until the December 2005.

In 2003, we have started with the publication of our company’s newspaper with title "News from World of Lightnings", an edition which is issued every 4 months and which also is posted to our clients free of charge.

In 2006, we have published another technical book with the title "Foundation Earthing Systems", which has replaced our book “Earthing Systems and Equipotential Protection”. Until 2009 more than 10.000 books have been sold.

In 2008, our company’s Environmental management system has been certified by the International Certification Body Bureau Veritas, according to the requirements of standard ISO 14001:2004. Also, we have published the technical book with the title, "The technique of foundation earthing system".

In 2009, we have published one more technical book with the title, "Guidance for the selection and application of Surge Protection Devices (SPDs)".

Within `00s we have presented several important papers in International Conferences for Lightning Protection, based on our research and field experience, as well as we have proceeded with several publications in scientific and technical magazines.
