The pre-treated input material is fed in the middle of an inclined sieve tub, which rotates circularly around two eccentric shafts. The drive consists of two electric motors, which have a common frequency converter to achieve synchronism. The motors and the bearings of the shafts are positioned outside of the waste flow, so that the minimised dust load extends the maintenance intervals and therefore the maintenance costs.

  • air support to enhance the ballistic separation process

The rotation around the shafts generates a jolting effect. In combination with the adjustable inclination of the sieve tub, different movement directions are caused according to physical attributes of the waste material. Light and areal pieces climb up in movement direction, heavy and round pieces move down against the movement direction.

The light and areal fraction mainly consists of paper, plastic foils, textiles, cardboard etc., while the heavy and round fraction mostly consists of metals, stones, wood, rubber, plastic bottles, glass etc..

The mesh aperture of the sieve tub has changeable sieve plates, which make it possible to separate additional material in a selectable grain size as a fine fraction.
